With the rumors of the Nexus One flying around the internet, I was thinking is the Nexus One what it seems, the Google Phone, aka Android's the holy grail. I don't think so, more likely it's a attempt to standardized the Android OS. As of now the developers are having problem making their programs running smoothly on the the variations of the OS. This is due to all the handset manufactures and phone company making alterations to the OS and GUI. I don’t think Google will sell just one phone from one manufacture --The Google Phone--. I think it’s all in the Phones Name “The Nexus ONE”, A nexus basically being a network, and one being well the first. Google will most likely end up selling a Nexus Line of Android phones From various manufacturers. All these phones will have Google designed software and GUI AKA The “NEXUS”. That way developer would have a more standardized OS, that is easy to develop for. They may even be able to subsidize the handsets though app sales and other services. So people will have the chose of an android phone for any network and be able to have and application just work. Let’s be honest here aren’t we all–at least partially– part of the Google Nexus anyway.
